Rituals can serve to bring individuals, families, communities, and global cultures together in a way that our differences melt into the quietness of a meditation and our hearts connect with nothing to defend, but all as a possibility. Life slows down as we put our attention on the deliberate gestures and thoughtfully chosen words of rituals that have come to us from an ancient past, like a message from some wise relation whispering in our ear, “All is well.”
